Stegall Cattle Company is a 3rd generation ranching family that has been raising seedstock cattle for nearly 30 years. Owned and operated by Todd and Taylor Stegall along with our 2 sons Case and Hayes. The Stegall family has been raising Angus cattle in California since the early 1950’s. Sometime in the mid 80’s Todd’s father Alfred, along with his brothers, saw the value that the Red Angus female brings to a commercial operation with her convenience traits such as docility, heat tolerance, and udder structure, along with unmatched mothering ability. A decision was made to transition our herd to predominantly Red Angus Influence. Fast forward to today we have developed our herd into one of California’s premier seedstock Red Angus and Sim-Angus hybrid herds.

Our cattle run in California’s northern Sacramento valley on a combination of native and irrigated pasture. To supplement we utilize a variety of crop by-products and crop residue products from local farms. The cows run in a commercial environment with no preferential treatment or creep feeding. We utilize AI and Embryo Transfer technology to assist us in our goal of producing the most profitable, efficient cattle possible while maintaining functionality traits and eye appealing phenotype!
